What should I bring to my surf lesson?
Remember to apply a waterproof sunblock to all exposed areas at least 20 minutes before entering the water.
The sun is much stronger in Mexico and you will receive even more glare off of the ocean.
A hat, towel, a change of dry clothes and a camera are also good to bring along.
I have some ocean experience – Do I need to take a lesson?
The number one reason we recommend to take a lesson is for your SAFETY and for the SAFETY of the other surfers /people around you in the ocean.
As the ocean can be dangerous for people who are unfamiliar with it – we will teach you how to react and use caution out in the water as well as feel comfortable out in the surf.
We will also show you how to handle your equipment properly so that you are not a danger to yourself or anyone else in the ocean.
Finally – we can coach you through the proper techniques for catching and riding green, open faced waves – correcting your mistakes on the spot!
