Kemi, originally from Morro Bay,
California, relocated herself to Mexico in the Punta Mita area over 10 years ago. She is a 22 year ripping surf
veteran, soul surfer to the core. She is a seasoned lifeguard and experienced boatman. Not only has she extensively
explored the whole of Mexico's coastline, she has spent numerous years traveling around the world in search
of perfect waves. In the past years, Kemi helped create, directed and taught the surf program for Las Olas Surf
Safaris for Women in Sayulita, Mexico. Kemi has a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration with an emphasis
in Outdoor Education. Though not a competitive surfer by nature, Kemi recently won first place for Women's Shortboard
and Women's Longboard divisions in a major international competition. A true inspiration both in and out of
the water, Kemi is sure to create a fun and memorable Mexican adventure. 2007-2008 will be Kemi and Josue's
6th year in the business with Tranquilo.
Josue is the local Punta de Mita surf legend. He has 21 years of surfing and boating experience in this area
and other coastal regions of Mexico. His knowledge doesn't stop there: he's a living encyclopedia of Mexico's
history, culture, food, geography, and its plant, animal and marine life. Fluent in English, Josue always has
a rhyme or joke to keep you entertained between sets. He is regarded by the community, tourists and his friends
as an exceptional person guaranteed to show you true Mexican hospitality.
